Company History

PPM Technologies has a strong history in the global food processing and packaging industry.  Our company was established in 2007 through acquisition of the Allen Systems and PPM businesses of FMC Technologies.

Our legacy represents more than 100 years of experience and well-known brands in the industry - Allen Machinery, Aseeco, PPM and FMC Material Handling. 




1880s John Bean Company established with introduction of new type of spray system for agriculture
1920s    John Bean Company becomes Food Machinery Corporation (FMC) and introduced to San Francisco Exchange
1940s Allen Machinery business established as cherry processing
Food Machinery Corporation changes name to Food Machinery and Chemical Corporation
1970s Allen Machinery develops and manufactures a line of vibratory conveyor
1976 PPM business established by three founders who developed a proprietary frying process
1988 FMC acquired Aseeco business increasing presence in material handling system
1990s PPM business acquired by Frigoscandia. Both later acquired by FMC.
2000 FMC acquired Allen Machinery and combine material handling businesses
FMC announced separation into two publically traded companies – FMC Technologies and FMC Corporation
2001  FMC Technologies Inc. begins trading on NYSE Ticker Symbol – FTI
2004 Allen Machinery and PPM operate jointly under FMC Technologies
2007 PPM Technologies acquires Allen Machinery and PPM business
2008 PPM Technologies joins forces with Wright Machinery Limited
