Galileo™ Depositors
Simple transfer of weighed product to rigid and semi-rigid tray lines The PPM Technologies Galileo Depositors provide a simple, safe and sanitary interface between multi-head weigh scales and packaging lines. Two models are available optimizing production rates for your process line without complicated controls or modifications to the weigh scale.
The Galileo Multi-Point Depositor (MPD) offers an intermittent transfer of weighed product to the tray line. Scaled portions are transferred to the depositor's collection hoppers. This product is then directed to feeder heads located above the tray line via a swinging funnel or moving collection hoppers. To prevent spillage, a custom designed outfeed mask drops within the tray to direct product.
The Galileo Continuous Motion Depositor (CMD) transfers weighed product to the tray line in a continuous motion. Scaled portions are transferred to the depositor's collection hoppers. As the presence of an empty tray is confirmed, the hopper discharges to outfeed gates in sync with the trays. Product is then transferred to the gates via a swinging gate.
When all gates are loaded, they discharge to the trays through a custom mask which lowers drops down within the tray to prevent spillage. As the carriage returns to "home", the collection hoppers are refilled for the next cycle, saving time and permitting continuous conveyor motion without lost production.
